I am currently being treated for having Bipolar type 1. I have not told anyone but I also think I may be anorexic and have a drug dependency problem. Although I've never told, I'm pretty sure other suspect. Is there a place I can get treatment for all 3 things at once?

It's VERY common for bipolars to have eating and drug problems...A majoraty of them (females anyways) have or have had those in conjunction. Perhaps your bipolar meds need to be shifted. With the right meds hopefully the other 2 will get under control..but if U really want 2 get better I'd get honest with your psychiatrist/ psychologist. I'd definitely GOOGLE NA and find a meeting..they're free w/ a suggested dollar donation! You shouldn't have to live like this. Also U may want 2 ask ur doc about Neurontin...It changed my life! I'd tried 20 other meds before it and it was the only 1 that helped at all. You're drug use is an attempt to control and self-medicate the bipolar..Where do U live? Do U hav bipolar support groups? NA will be key. Some of them may not be into taking any meds. though but u r an exception being a bipolar. I'd only tell people you trust there about med usage. Most of them (those who are working the program) are absolutely wonderful and they want 2 help U change ur life just as others helped give them a life.good luck..u'll b fine!

The place to start is being honest with your psychiatrist. Depending on the extent of your drug problems and anorexia, s/he may refer you to rehab or a clinic, or perhaps to a therapist trained in these disorders. As you know, the BD you'll have to care for where ever you seek tx for the other disorders.

As far as your pdoc, drug problems are common ways for bipolars to self-medicate. It's not going to be a shocker, and your pdoc shouldn't be too judgmental about it. Expect some concern and probably an admonition (because that's his job). Getting those two under control might help with the eating disorder. One can hope, right? If not, there are therapists and clinics focused on it.

One day at a time.

Stay stable.

i become clinically determined with PTSD at age 8 and went by way of a brilliant form of counseling so initiate with that, as for her bipolar it relies upon on the point of her bipolar some human beings have it mildly different have it majorly. And in case you do locate the suitable mix of drugs she is genuinely no longer grew to become right into a zombie yet by way of her youthful age and the shown fact that she continues to be turning out to be i might keep away from drugs. Have her checklist actual a notice to the college make valuable the critical/vice critical, workplace secretary and instructor(s) have copies so they are conscious incase she has a manic attack in college

I have suffered from Bi polar disorder, drug addiction and anorexia at different points in my life, While I cannot recommend a center, since I have never been to one, I can offer an ear to talk to. I have completely overcome all of these things, and while not a professional, I would love to help you talk about what is going on in your life. You can e mail me at jennylynn123@yahoo.com

Drug treatment centers are used to treating preexisting conditions. Maybe you can call drug treatment centers in your area and ask if they also do ED treatment.
