This is the third time I felt this sensation.. there's a tender feeling in my left part of groin and the lymph nodes I can feel it there's some swelling and it's painful but not that much I just feel that tenderness. This is the third time because I felt this first time in the summer like March or April and the second time like September and now it's here again. It's just painful and tender for about 1 day or 2 days and it's gone..

I'm scared though because all that I've read in the internet that swollen lymph nodes can be a symptom of cancer, hiv or something and it's making me scared as f!! but other say that lymph nodes swelling is when it's fighting bacteria so it should be normal?? :((( I'm scared so bad guys any good answer would be much appreciated

9 times out of 10, any time you have a swollen lymph node anywhere in your body, it's because the node has swollen in an effort to help drain away infection from somewhere in your body. The swollen node might feel slightly sore if you touch it; or it might not. Your lymph node is doing exactly what it is supposed to do.

You said you have a lymph node in your groin, and it swells and it goes away, but then it reappears some time later. If the node in your groin was cancerous, it wouldn't ever "go away". It would just continue to grow and become larger.

Sounds like you have some sort of infection.

You sound like a hypochondriac to me. The only way to tell if you have a legitimate medical problem is by seeing a doctor, not asking online.

Go to a doctor and get checked. That is not normal.

I like to add that I think it s the 2nd day of my lymph node swelling so the lymph node s swelling is going down and the tenderness/swelling around the area is much better now not that painful as the other day.
