Question:
How to stay calm during my presentation?

I have this presentation tomorrow. I am very well prepared and I know for a fact I'll be in the top best (everyone who passed so far either kept looking at the teacher while talking or did lots of mistakes, etc.) but for some reason I can't stop being nervous about this.

I think it's because it's the first presentation -alone- I'm doing in the last 3 years. All the others I've been with someone and it seemed so much better.

But now I have to go up there for 10min and keep talking all the time. I feel like my voice will sound a little shaken and nervous, but I usually smile and talk confidently.

So how can I do the same in front of the class?

Thanks!

This should help, I always read this over before I have a presentation, my advice, make sure you know it very well, be confident. Good luck.

When you do a presentation. Look above the heads of everyone in the class, this will calm you down because technically your eyes will not be looking at everyone in the class to distract you. Speak very slowly and make sure you get your point across. Try this, it helps. Also think happy thoughts.

Instead of thinking it is a Presentation, try just sharing your thoughts , like you are talking to some friends. make a story about it. start out with something funny. I once did a presentation on Alaska. I started the presentation with D'ju know ( Slang or short for do you know) what the capital of Alaska is: ..... Juneau. Every one laughed. and i relaxed. you have to break the ice.

Practice the presentation a couple of times with a family member. then when doing the real thing, pretend like you are doing it in front of the family member again.

Dont even think of it as a presentation, and get blazed before you go present.
