I have a terrible memory. it never use to be like this but for the past 4 months i just cant remember anything.
my friend could come up to me tell me something and then be like dont tell them though. and i would be like ok and i wouldnt even remeber what they told me.
it really sucks and im afraid it might start to interfere with my school work and stuff like that . i dont know if its just me and my friends who think i have a memory problem or if i really truely do .
what should i do?

If your memory is real bad and of concern to you then the best way i see is that you get yourself a note book where you keep record of important stuff so you won't have to forget.

I had the same problem two weeks ago. The doctor sent me for an MRI of the brain. Turned out I had some small lesions of the brain. One small detail. I am 71. You still should talk to your doctor for you shouldn't have such a bad memory at your age.

hey i know how you feel because i'm in college and have a family and my memory use to be great before i had so much to handle. in my oppinion, i don't think you have a memory problem. your lack of memory might be do to stress.if this is the case you should maybe think of buying a daily planner and putting everything you need to do down on paper. thats what i do. i hope this helps and good luck with your memory.

I often joke that I have a memory like a steel sieve. I've discussed this with my psychiatrist and learned that depression often causes memory problems.

Are you currently seeing a psychiatrist? There are medications which can help. I am currently taking Adderall (developed for attention-deficit disorder) and it has helped considerably.

Good luck.

As we get older, we all have problems remembering things. Perhaps you have ADD or ADHD I suggest you speak with a Doctor, could be a chemical inbalnce in your brain.

It might not be a memory problem. Try PAYING ATTENTION!!!! If you don't acknowledge and commit something to memory, you're not going to remember it. Associate what you're trying to remember with something you already know. Listen to people : )....

Do you smoke marijuana? Apparently it makes you forgetful.

Take supplements to get better at remembering things... ginseng is also good.
