Am I a sadist because I tortured barbie?

last night i had a sleepover with one of my friends, and we tortured barbie. my parents got mad, and then they were all like, DID YOU THINK IT WAS FUN?! YOU ENJOYED TORTURING A DOLL THAT HAD A HUMAN SHAPE? and i honestly thought it was interesting, because it was a plastic doll! thats not real! but theyre really upset, so what, does that make me a horrible person? and i swear, im not trolling. i just really want to know, because theyve been kind of been giving me the cold shoulder, and i know theyre still mad.

Lots of kids have done bad things to Barbie and G.I. Joe... that doesn't make you a horrible person-it was even in Toy Story-as long as you would never do anything like that to a real human being, you're just fine in my opinion!

I have had them for over three decades. They are ONLY fantasy and not reality. Your parents are confusing a lifeless plastic mold with real human flesh and blood. Toys do not feel nor express feeling. COMMON SENSE is missing. I accidently beheaded one. It did not bleed nor scream. I just reattached it to the body. It would be stupid of me to compare that action to a real female. REAL FEMALES have flesh, bones, blood, and intellectual capabilities unlike a piece of plastic. Do you know of any law in America that treats the destructive actions done to a Barbie doll with the same punishment? NO! The law knows it is stupid to do it. Your parents should know better too. Sure I was upset when my Barbie got beheaded during the moving of boxes. It has not been found on Ebay nor Amazon.com. However, I know it is just a TOY. If a real human gets decapitated, you cannot twist the head back on to the neck. Its eyes never close. Do you know of any human whose eyes are open all the time without ever closing? COMMON SENSE people. You cannot make a piece of plastic human or vise versa. Even science teaches us that fact. We are born with a brain. Let us use it. Artists have destroyed hundreds of Barbies. None has been convicted for killing them. They are sued by Mattel in civil cases. Nobody is incarcerated for destroying a cheap plastic doll. You did nothing to a real human. You never broke any law. You are not guilty of any crime. You are not guilty. Your parents need to grow up.

Your parents over reacted. (don't take this too seriously, ok?) The was a show on on TV a few days ago (I think it was Law and Order) where a mentally ill child threatened to kill ppl on line, threaten small children in his apt. complex, and tortured dolls. What he did to the dolls was much worse than what you did. But maybe your parents saw the show and that's why they over reacted.

Am I a sadist for strapping my GI Joe to a firework and watching him fly up into the sky and blow into a million pieces when I was 12? No, I was bored, and breaking stuff is fun.
