Not knowing who the people closest to her are. Remembering things from her childhood like she was still in the time.

Okay do you know her well enough to say that her behavior has changed. Or are you just worried about her. If your just worried about her interact with her on a personal level then you can judge based on how she use to act, if its alzheimers or old age. If it's the first one then there are old and new studies out their you can read to understand how to deal with it better. If there's love in the equation then i'm sure the best thing will be done for her.

Jesus is the Answer to all problems of life.

In the Beginning God created heavens and earth.

God gives you air to breathe and sunshine to enjoy.

God gives you water to drink and food to eat.

God gives you a wonderful body and sound mind, to live.

God loves you, and you are precious to Him.

Son of God died on the Cross to save us from condemnation.

Jesus’ love is boundless and everlasting.

We have the hope of Heaven through Jesus.

Life therefore has fantastic and glorious future!

(Digestion of above can even prevent depression and suicidal thoughts.)

Vagueness, occasional memory lapses beyond what you would expect. Nothing much else really.

Don't forget though that everyone's memory depreciates over time and these signs are not necessarily presaging alzheimers.

If you forgot where you left the car keys, that's normal but if you forgot what a car is for, that's alzheimers.
