I was on Citalopram for almost two years. I experienced alot of nausea, a few times a week, like i was sea sick. I don't know whether it was related to the depression but it caused alot of psychomotor retardation and alot of cognitive dysfunctions i.e. problems with memory, following simple instructions and concentration. I have been on Mirtazepine over a month and have been put on mood stabilisers as the psychiatrist stated that anti depressants are not the correct treatment for me. I am hoping that they work for you. Mirtazepine has drastically increased my cognitive functions and reduced my sleep from 12-14 hours on citalopram to 9-10 hours. I was more sociable with citalopram but Mirtazepine makes me aggressive and so anti social. I was on mirtazepine 10 years ago and I was aggressive and agitated then. Again all this is not clear cut, as it may be the depression.

I used to take 60 mg and let me tell you, missing doses and starting them again over time will take a serious toll on your mood (as in giving you serious mood swings) - however, anti-depressants cause different side-effects in different people, so it's really hard to gauge what will happen unless you find out for yourself.

You should go back to a small dose and work your way back up again. Stopping and starting with that type of medication can have serious emotional repercussions. Go to see your doctor and be honest with him.
