He was very happy...but for some reason, it was annoying to you..and you know what? It was probably very annoying to others also lol....people always do rude things in public..one time we had to wait in line for a telephone, and the little old man began exuding gas and it was very loud...it was so sickening, and we had no choice but to stay and put up with it...I really now wish I had just started laughing really loud, but then I would have been the rude one, so I didn't lol...I am sure he offended others also

I find whistling to be annoying in the first place. Plus, it's something out loud that everyone has to hear and be a part of. You sound like me that some people should make certain noises on their own time. I don't need to hear what song is stuck in some guys head because he's whistling!

Why it was irritating to you or why was he whistling?

He was probably whistling because he was happy and most likely oblivious to the fact that it might be annoying to another person in his vicinity.

You were probably annoyed for the same reason people become upset when they have to listen to a child screaming in a fit of temper... because its something that does not fit with their social/personal view of how things ought to be, so it grates on one's nerves.

In the future, take deep breaths, concentrate on something else, and remember - just like a song on the radio that you hate, it will be over soon enough.

it certainly relies upon on what you view as "sexist". in case you think of that the celebrity and gossip magazines, are all geared to only activity the ladies, then confident. in any different case, there are interesing adequate columns in reported magazines, that is idealy suitable in direction of the male thoughts. in case you look at it from the merchandising and marketing component of it, whom are those that bypass to the "Markets" besides? women. no longer that i'm being sexist, yet in somewhat certainty the checkouts see women 80 4% greater desirable than they see adult males. So, to answer the question : No, because of the fact of merchandising and marketing, and Propoganda.

he is probably just a happy man and likes his life and the way he expresses it is to whistle
2006-08-22 08:49:57 UTC
I don't know why, but I absolutely HATE hearing someone whistle!! I can and it does not bother me, but to hear someone else, gets on my last nerve!! I have to bite my tongue to not say anything. It's like forcing me to listen to music I hate or something!

Maybe he was high, crazy, or a cheery stupid f*ck as I call them. I would find that really annoying too. We have nothing to be happy about anymore. The high prices in gas and the money the president of our country is making from it really pisses me off.

Some people do that or sing to themselves in a low voisce so they don't have to listen to other noise. It drives me crazy too. I have noticed people in stores with ear phones on with a little radio so they can listen to music. Much better idea.

It could have been a nervous habit, or maybe he was happy. I'm sure it wasn't as annoying as someone snapping their gum and blowing bubbles.
