Would CT scan reveal the presence of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) in a person?

Are OCD & Tinnitus related?
If a person has prolonged OCD, would he/she develop Tinnitus due to the stress, anxiety & panic attacks of OCD?

CT scans will only reveal non-trivial physical changes in the brain (like lesions, tumours, etc). No-one really knows what's behind OCD, but no CT scan will be able to show things like neurotransmitter imbalances or deficiencies (which is why depression doesn't show up on a scan) or differences in how genes are expressed and what proteins they produce.

People aren't really clear on what causes tinnitus either, but it's probably some neural defect in the ear and/or auditory nerves. I don't think anyone's suggested it arises in *response* to anxiety or panic. (Nor does OCD typically give rise to panic attacks - in fact the rituals and routines of OCD in part are done precisely to avoid panic.)

So I think that's a no and a no. 8-) Interesting questions though!

A CT scan will not show the presence of OCD.

It will show that a certain part of the brain is abnormal which could affect the emotions.

I don't think tinnitus is associated with OCD.

Sometimes certain medications can cause tinnitus.

To answer the CT scan question: NO.

OCD is a chemical disorder that they believe is hereditary. However, new ideas are being accepted.
